They don't understand what light ice means. I spend over $1,500 a year at Starbucks. I come to the lake and have been to this Starbucks in Osage Beach almost every day for a week. Every time I ask for light ice in my trenta ice coffee I get a cup that is almost full of ice. I complained twice about it and was offered 10 cents off a refill. At least half the servers (6) have been really rude and act like they are at a job they hate.

2/16/15 My, what a difference a month makes. It seems that there is an entire different team of Starbucks employees since I last came by for coffee. I was greeted (as was everyone) who came through the front door by the girl with the pretty blue eyes. The barista was on point and fast with my coffee and my breakfast sammie was delish!! So, cool vibe, great coffee, friendly staff? Def a 5**** Starbucks!

It's Starbucks, so the food and drink is what you expect. The service here, though, is seriously excellent! I came in this morning to order an iced tea latte. So after a moment I realized the baristas were discussing the best way to make it, whether to use the black tea bags they use for hot tea, or the tea bags they use for iced tea. So they made both for me at no extra charge so I could try them side by side and let them know which one I like best for future visits! Now that is what I call service!

As far as Starbucks go each is just about the same as the last. But this location took longer than normal for going through the drive-thru. I've only been once, so I won't hold it against them.

Starbucks coffee is the same everywhere but this particular location has outstanding service and the folks are as friendly and helpful as they get anywhere.

Starbucks is a staple in my husband's daily routine so we were very excited when they built this at the Lake, one of our favorite places in the summer. Its your typical sized establishment located at the beginning of the main area of the Lake. If you blink, you might miss it. Very nice staff, eager to serve and help you in any way possible.

This stand-alone corporate Starbucks is my Sunday early-morning go-to for coffee and a place to work on stuff on my way somewhere else. I have been there nearly every week for the last two years. On my third visit they remembered my name. My coffee is my weekly treat. They are endlessly patient and knowledgeable as I ask 100 questions about ingredients (I have dietary restrictions). I can hear them greeting each regular customer as they come in, asking a genuine questions of each one: "How was your trip?" How is your new grandbaby?" Not just the usual "What'll you have?" you might find in any other locale. When I began having gluten issues, I mentioned (wasn't complaining, just mentioned) that all of their bars and packaged items that were gluten-free contained nuts, which I also have a sensitivity to (I know, I'm a pain.) The next Sunday, there was a gluten-free, nut-free packaged rice krispy product in a cute little basket at the check-out. Perhaps that was a coincidence, but it made me feel great to have something I could eat in the store. The coffee you ask? As mentioned, it's Starbucks. The truth is, I probably would have given up the habit by now if my visits there weren't so enjoyable because of the people. (And because I was gifted with enough certificates for Christmas to last through October.) But I digress. The drinks: The espresso-based drinks are delicious. Just like most espresso-based drinks most high-priced places, they are sweet, foamy, and laden with calories. I find Starbucks regular coffee to be a little bitter for my tastes, but I am not a "true" coffee drinker like some people are. Their tea selection isn't great, and their iced tea is much better if you have them use the straight concentrate instead of adding water when they put it over the ice. I have given up the (delicious) Frappuccinos (basically a shake) because some of them have 1200+ calories and they just have too much dairy for me. My go-to is a short, seasonal (skinny if they have sf syrups) no-whip latte in my stainless to-go cup. Cheaper, stays warmer, and saves the environment. What more can you ask for? FYI: any SHORT No-whip Latte=110 calories; Short Skinny Latte=70 This may not be 100% perfect guideline, but it works when you want a seasonal latte and they don't have sugar-free syrups and you are driving yourself crazy trying to figure it all out. I order it extra hot in the winter to warm up my cold cup. Also, don't expect to see short on the menu. It exists, but isn't posted. It is an 8 oz. drink. I like it because I can savor (sip) my sweet beverage, and then get a refill of regular coffee that isn't sweet (free for gold club members). If you are just a traveler to the Lake area, you might be tempted to run into another Lake Starbucks, as some genius put all three of them in what, in a city, would be a one-block radius. There is one in Target and one in Hy-vee (next door to each other and across the street from this stand-alone store). I used to frequent the Hy-Vee Starbucks. I was annoyed when I discovered you can only earn stars on your gold card there (and at Target) but not redeem them. Then I asked the Hy-vee barista to transfer a balance from a Starbucks gift card to my gold Starbucks card. (She couldn't, so I did it on my laptop.) The next Sunday I asked a Hy-Vee barista to add the balance from the Coinstar slip from the Coinstar machine in the Hy-Vee store to my gold Starbucks card. She couldn't, so I made the trip across the street to this store and never bought another coffee at that Hy-Vee again. It just doesn't taste the same without a friend to serve it.
